Titlu Job: Unix Administrator
CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
3 to 5+ years UNIX administration experience in a high-volume critical production service environment with an emphasis on supporting production WEB and database servers (Apache, PHP, Tomcat, MySQL)
• Experience with programming and/or scripting, task automation, and security “best practices” for server installation and administration.
• Solid experience administrating Apache (HTTP) and MySQL in a production environment mandatory
• Strong knowledge of Perl, PHP, bash, etc., with experience in building database driven web applications
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network troubleshooting
• Good knowledge of SMB is a plus
• Strong knowledge of rsync and ssh is a plus
• Experience with MySQL replication will be greatly appreciated
• Experience with proxies (for example Squid) and web related technologies
• Experience with SMS
• Experience managing firewalls
• Experience with the administration and use of Subversion
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SNMP, Cacti, MRTG, Nagios, etc.
• Experience with the management and administration of Veritas Netbackup
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Strong documentation skills and analysis methodology
• Ability to work under stress production environment is essential
