Titlu Job: Database Administrator
We are looking to hire a versed Database Administrator, for our Bucharest headquarters.
Our ideal candidate must have at least 2 years experience as a MySQL or MsSQL DBA and should be passionate about techology, as well as motivated be the projects and challenges that he/she encounters.
Responsibilities:
- Setting-up and maintaining replication;
- Setting-up and maintaining a backup and disaster recovery strategy;
- Monitoring health and performance for several servers on a daily basis;
- Reporting query performance issues to the product teams (and suggesting optimizations);
- Troubleshooting and fixing performance issues (tuning configuration options);
- Working with several product teams to make sure their queries are designed for performance;
- Involved in the database design process, advising the developers on how to design new databases and how to optimize the structure of existing databases;
Must have:
- 2+ years of experience as a MsSQL or MySQL DBA;
- Experience with high volume, high concurrency environments (OLTP);
- Knowledge of database replication (master - slave for the time being);
- Understanding of MsSQL or MySQL's configuration options (also includes engine-specific options for the InnoDB and MyISAM engines);
- Troubleshooting performance issues (profiling);
- Knowledge of query optimization techniques;
- Thorough understanding of indexes;
- Thorough understanding of MySQL's or MsSQL security policies;
- Experience with MySQL events, triggers and stored procedures.
Nice to have:
- Linux administration experience;
- Experience with monitoring tools (MonYog, Enterprise monitor, etc.);
- Experience with sharding solutions based on MySQL or MsSQL;
- MySQL data warehousing experience (OLAP);
- Bonus points if you read High Performance MySQL, 2nd ed. and understood most of the concepts there;
- Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL 5 Database Administrator;
- Oracle Certified Expert, MySQL 5.1 Cluster Database Administrator.
