Titlu Job: System Administrator - Open Source Passionate
We're looking for a System Administrator that's passionate about Open Source technologies, with a proven sense of initiative, who enjoys working in a small team where his/her contributions are essential. You will be in charge of remotely operating, maintaining and managing the company server platform and XWiki's online hosting business, while closely with our colleagues from the French, Romanian and Algerian teams.
The main responsibilities for this role are:
* Ensuring best possible uptime for all services, data redundancy and crash recovery
* Assuring protection of sensitive data and breach investigation
* Constantly improving the infrastructure, software, automation and protocols set in place
* Interacting with other teams on any platform-related issues and making sure they can do their work properly
* Handling client installations and upgrades
* Writing and maintaining existing documentation regarding common infrastructure tasks
Our ideal candidate has the following technical skills:
* Excellent UNIX knowledge, in particular the Linux Debian distribution
* Very good knowledge of Puppet and other automation tools, including shell scripting
* Very good knowledge of IPv4 networking
* Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Bind
* Experience with MySQL administration, including optimization and data replication setups
* Experience with virtualization systems (VMWare, container technologies are a plus)
Other expected skills:
* MS Windows administration
* VPN technologies (OpenVPN, IPSec)
* Administration of subversion and git repositories
* Nagios and Cacti
* Scripting languages (bash, python, or equivalent)
* Basic knowledge of Java language
