Titlu Job: Software Developer Data Warehouse

Role: The Software Developer Data Warehouse is responsible for analysing and developing given demands from the business department. Apart from programming DWH components with SQL/UNIX, data modelling with NCR Teradata and/or frontend development with MicoStrategy, the developer furthermore transports the business requirements into a technical specification. Tasks: * Analysis and documentation of the department requirements with respect to completeness, intelligibility and plausibility * Quality assurance, maintenance (performance tuning, bug fixing) and Second Level Support * Introduction support (Monitoring, acceptance test) for new DWH-components * Close cooperation with the DWH production departments, pre-processing systems and the business departments also in view of the result conversation * Perform an explicit technical description of all systems components which have to be developed. * Concrete specifications in the areas data model, index design, interface formats, converting security, report layout, customized functionality, metadata objects * Effect feasibility studies, total expense estimation * Description of the required test environments in addition to test scenario Requirements/ Experience: * University degree in information technology * relevant experience in complex SQL-programming * strong experience in the area of Data Warehouse & Trade * UNIX-, relational database- and/or ROLAP Know How * Deep going understanding and perennial practical experience in the area of relational databases (>1 TB) * Successfully completed training for a IT-job/course of studies * Long-time experience as analyst and/or consultant, esp. in analysing customer requirements * Fluent in English * Certain handling with the Microsoft-Office-products * Willingness to travel occasionally Knowledge * experience in retail and wholesale processes , esp. knowledge of the general business management
