Role description:
ON-CALL technical support activity for our partner who is is a software and services provider to more than 300 communications, cable, entertainment and media service providers in more than 90 countries. Its offerings span the customer lifecycle and deliver a comprehensive set of digital capabilities. Offerings include business support systems (BSS), operational support systems (OSS), open network solutions, internet of things, end-to-end carrier-grade big data analytics and others.
Hard skills requirements:
- 2 years of software support experience (preferably in a Telco Company);
- Experience with supporting applications on Linux/Unix environments;
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in Production/IT environments;
- Basic Network Knowledge – TCP/IP Networking, switching and routing concepts;
- Software maintenance (patch installations, changes);
- Experience in writing SQL queries;
- (Advantage) Scripting/programming knowledge;
- (Advantage) Experience with database servers;
- MSSQL, MySQL and Oracle;
- (Advantage) Big Data knowledge;
- (Advantage) Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, and WebSphere;
- (Advantage) Experience supporting web-based applications and webservers;
Soft skills requirements:
- Good communication skills (verbal & written) in English;
- Team Player and Result oriented individuals;
- Ability to adopt to a fast paced and intense technological environment;
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, enhance, test and deploy integration software;
