Titlu Job: Senior System Administrator
General description of the position:
The senior system position is in charge of setting up new production systems as well as maintaining and optimizing current production systems.
Our environment comprises a large amount of systems that include front and backend webserver systems, asterisk voip servers, databases in MSSQL/MYSQL and oracle.
Primary goals right now in our organization lead to automation of deployments (assisting the developers ) and a move towards creating failover systems using hyper-v replica setups, while moving away from the use of dedicated /bare metal servers
The candidate will enjoy the opportunity of testing/recommending new technologies that will allow us to outperform our competition. There is access to large resources in order to achieve the goals required.

Required skills (this knowledge will be tested)
• Comfortable with Linux Centos environment.
• Good experience with resource monitoring and optimization.
• Good experience in installing, maintaining, preparing and migrate systems and applications.
• Good understanding and relevant experience with commonly-used services, protocols and platforms:
Web: HTTP, HTTPS running on Apache and Ngnix servers.
Email: SMTP, SMTPS, IMAPS running on Postfix server, Outlook and Thunderbird clients.
Database: MySQL/MSSQL Server administration – basic level.
Monitoring: Nagios, Cacti.
Others: Solid understanding of how DNS, TCP, UDP protocols work.
Periodic backup and recovery tests.
• Basic understanding of IP Routing and NAT-ing.
• Windows server knowledge of GPO
• The candidate must have a good command in English, spoken and written, in order to be able to work in a multinational environment.
• Team work and willing to work in rotating on-call shifts at night and during weekends (This means certain weeks person will be on call at night /weekends and will need to be able to assist remotely in case there are emergencies in our production systems)
Nice to have:
• Experience with Linux Docker containers represents a major advantage.
• CISCO networking skills.
Candidates that have solid experience in docker, vagrant and continuous integration technologies will have a definitive advantage.
