About the role:
- This position provides technical support for all Wintel server-based software by implementing, monitoring and maintaining systems and application software running under Windows OS.
- The Wintel System Administrator’s role to provide optimum performance, system availability and high levels of security. Supports software vendor to ensure application software is installed correctly and all current maintenance levels have been applied.
What will YOU do:
• Provide technical support and documentation for all Windows servers - both physical and virtual (VMware and Azure);
• Support x86 Blade and rack mount servers. Install, troubleshoot and replace hardware and firmware as necessary;
• Manage all Windows OS and supporting applications (DNS, DHCP, DC, etc);
• Experience maintaining Active Directory environment;
• Must have expert level experience maintaining and troubleshooting Active Directory related components including but not limited to DCs/GCs, Microsoft DNS, Microsoft CA, and GPOs;
• Experience managing and troubleshooting WAP/ADFS, AAD, and AAD Connect;
• Administration of the Software Distribution Infrastructure (SCCM2012/SCCM2016);
• Monitor software distribution status in the entire infrastructure and keep an updated status regarding the packages, collections and advertisements;
• Responsible for maintaining and deploying security patches to the server environment by following standard patching methodology;
• Monitor system up-time availability and maintain the framework for new and existing applications, servers, and services that require monitoring at the enterprise level using MS SCOM (COM2012/SCOM2016 );
• Ideally have experience of other widely used industry technologies such as VMware, Citrix, Storage, Back-up.
