Titlu Job: PHP Backend Developer

Company Description:

Our client is an American Company that provides consulting services and full-cycle Software development services for the Life Science Industry. The company has a software development division in Romania and is developing, among other interesting projects, an innovative application in pharma industry which provides compliance procedure used in FDA.

Position Summary: 

We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing backend services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to request from the frontend elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of frontend technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities:

-    Coding back-end services;

-    Integration of user-facing elements developed by frontend developers;

-    Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules;

-    Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges;

-    Integration of data storage solutions.

Requirements:

Experience Requirements:

-    5+ years experience in PHP 7, HTML, CSS, OOP;

-    Practical and recent experience with frameworks (such as Symfony);

-    Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP;

-    Understanding of MVC design patterns;

-    Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds;

-    Previous experience with handling and querying databases;

-    Proficent understanding of code version tools, such as GIT;

-    Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology tools (such as JIRA).

-    Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient and maintanable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check;
