Titlu Job: Systems Administrator and Security Engineer

Job Reference: COR 02 Position Summary: The Systems Administrator and Security Engineer will develop, optimize and assure the service of the whole IT infrastructure according to specific needs of the company. This individual will be a part of the team focused on building and supporting hosted software services, with responsibility for creating solutions and infrastructure related to the hosted services system. Primary Responsibilities: • Systems Administration for a wide range of servers (Linux and windows), network devices (Firewall, Load Balancers, etc.) and associated services: Administer devices in a high performance production setting; Creating standards and operating procedures for our MCAS hosting environments; Working with our support group to maintain applications operating at the highest levels of performance; Responsible for root cause analysis of any non-application related system fault; Creation and implementation of typical operational tasks like log capture rotation and analysis, backup and restore strategy; • Implement company security policies and procedures in our hosted software services group and ensure the technology application portfolio is in compliance with Information security standards: Review the results of ethical hacks of inter/ intranet applications with the appropriate parties and the report analysis; Interpret and translate the information security requirements of the business IS program into technical requirements; Support risk assessments whenever technical expertise is required; Run quarterly vulnerability scans; Assists in the investigation of operations and security incidents and the training of key staff; Evaluate and manage application and environment security; • Participate in designing the infrastructure for web based application farms; • Monitor web applications; • Be a part of the second line support organization for infrastructure issues; • Participate in identifying and remedying infrastructure problems; • Handle and resolve issues escalated from the production operational environment on a 24x7 basis; • Design and maintain production monitoring systems; • Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues; • Cross train other application engineers, and train IT application administrators as needed. Experience and Skills: • Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat) servers and workstations administration: Low level system administration of large production environments and processes; Ability to execute and analyze vulnerability scans and generate reports on network based attacks and other web based vulnerabilities; Experience in administering high performance environments; Knowledge of Scripting Languages; • MySQL Database Administration; • Very good theoretical knowledge of IP networking, x86 computers and operating systems; • Knowledge of system administration procedures, preferably the ITIL and PCI frameworks; • Experience in installation, configuration, testing and patching of operating systems, application servers, databases, proxy servers, etc.; • Ability to analyze Information Security Procedures and help implement the same across all of IT and business; • Ability to understand, analyze and apply corporate policy/ guidelines and business specific policies; • Experience monitoring and installing security patches; • Experience in cloud computing, Amazon clouding; • Experience with RightScale; • Previous experience in ISO-certified organizations; • Industry certification a plus; • Administration of PCI compliant environments; • Excellent communication skills; • Fluent English is a must along with proficient written English language skills; • Must be able to offer support on a highly flexible schedule; • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direction and with strong customer focus; • Willing and able to be part of cross-team and global projects and initiatives.
