Titlu Job: Database Administrator & Developer
ANTAL International, a major executive search company with a global presence and also one of the leading companies in the Romanian recruitment market is looking for a Database Administrator & Developer, for one of its clients.
Responsibilities:
• Support and maintain remotely the database infrastructure for the team, on multiple datacenters for production, staging & testing environments;
• Handling and resolving issues escalated from the production operational environment on a 24x7 basis;
• Establish and maintain security and integrity controls for all production databases;
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of databases and various support tools;
• Design and maintain database monitoring systems, policies and standards;
• Troubleshooting performance, reliability, and scalability issues;
• Propose and implement solutions that will improve the performance and reliability of the system;
• Install, configure, and upgrade custom and packaged applications related to the database servers;
• Develop and document automated solutions and processes to support database & application release;
• Maintain and develop continuous integration processes for database layer;
• Develop tools and automated solutions in support of database replications & application release;
• Assist the development team regarding code changes that will impact database systems, understand and explain data flow, interfaces and applications to software developers;
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reports;
• Follow change management processes during implementations;
• Work in a diverse team environment.
Required Skills:
• 3 or more years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration in an Internet‐focused production environment, experience with other RDBMS’s is a plus;
• Capable of translating business and performance needs into technical requirements;
• Experience in analyzing and designing complex database architectures;
• Advanced knowledge of RDBMS concepts(e.g. transactions, normalization);
• Excellent knowledge of database replication and scaling techniques;
• Excellent knowledge of database high availability technologies (mirroring, clustering, log shipping, replication)
• Experience with disaster recovery and backup management;
• Extensive experience in analyzing, writing and debugging T-SQL code;
• Development experience with .NET Framework languages and technologies (C#.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET);
• Familiarity with a formal software release process, including the software build process, continuous integration and source control;
• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server migration tools and database versioning;
• Extensive experience with profiling
• Basic experience in building applications to support OLAP, data warehousing;
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and Internet protocols;
• Experience supporting 24x7 mission critical Internet applications;
• Familiarity with hosted application service provider environments, including remote administration of devices and log monitoring;
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills;
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements;
• Fluent in English.
