Job description: Works diligently with development, configuration management, information technology and quality assurance teams as the need arises on key Automation / Reporting developed or supported by the team. Owns the Automation / Reporting toolset; owns the development, support, training and for specific games projects, working in sync with game development cycles. Generates and maintains automated systems to provide customers with the ability generate key data in a timely manner. Becomes a key subject matter expert for SQL Server 2005 DBs, and Devtrack/Devtest backend DBs. Familiar with requirements capture and drafting specifications, and working within a suitable timeframe to generate customer approved’ automation / reporting systems. Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, errors, and inconsistencies in developed software, or other 3rd party systems critical to the core business. Manages the resolution of any defects. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computing Science, Software Engineering, or related Is able to work at ease in .net based language Automation / Reporting and environments, such as MS .net 2005 with C#, SQL, BIDS SRSS, and has suitable software development experience Knowledge or experience of various software development support tools, such as Buildforge, Incredibuild, Devtrack, DevTest, Perforce, Sharepoint other similar third party tools Knowledge of Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii development environments and SDKs an advantage. Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering and debugging practices Knowledge of software development life cycle, understands the release process and the development waterfall model, and the use of prototyping Knows and enforces Quality Assurance principles and methods Experience with HTML, web servers, Excel macros and database generation & maintenance (preferably SQL Server 2005) welcome but not critical.
