Support Engineer
The support we offer to our clients at uberVU is a critical part of what makes uberVU an awesome experience, and we are looking for absolutely and only the best people out there.As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide high quality Technical Support to uberVU customers, partners and other engineers. Support is provided primarily via incoming emails and tickets, with a smaller focus on phone and chat support.
The position will be based in Bucharest, Romania.
Main duties include:
• Analyzing and clarifying customer queries though troubleshooting and researching existing knowledgebase articles/known issues
• Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Development group to resolve more advanced issues when necessary
• Resolving escalated customer complaints without the need for team lead intervention
• Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
• Participation in providing training to customers as required
Skills required:
• You need advanced English communication skills. Written and verbal skills; excellent phone manner
• You need to understand and love tech. What is an API and how does it work or What is a database should seem like basic questions to you.
• Basic social media skills. You should be a user of Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms
Some technical skills that would be particularly useful:
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP and other networking concepts
• Experience with web site development, HTML, and SQL
• Experience with distributed, scaled infrastructure
